I have seen many photographs of similar subjects. The alps are certainly a magical sight to behold at all times. Still, this one in particular jumped out at me for several reasons as superior to many of the shots I've seen previously.
1. I absolutely love how crisp and clear the overall image is. It's so realistic I literally feel like I could step out into the world of the photograph and be in this park where the shot was taken. It's been filtered exceptionally well, down to the last yellow flower at the bottom of the frame. Looking down, I literally can see that the ground is damp from where the water is slowly but surely creeping up the bank. Amazing!
2. The framing is wonderfully done. Of course it makes sense to have the V of the hills as the focal point, but this artist takes it a step further and makes sure the reflection in the water is equally centered. Giving a beautiful mirrored effect.
3. I love the fact that I can see what's under the water in this photograph. For me, it only adds to the realism. So often in photographs, the surface of the water is just one giant mirror. In this instance, the artist gives us both the mirror effect (for the reflection of the mountains) and the window into what lies beneath the surface of the water. Marvelously done!
Overall, while perhaps not the most original photograph in terms of the subject, the technique and the vision behind this shot are wonderful. The realism of it all is beautiful. Congratulations to the artist on a job very well done!
An absolutely inspiring capture man. The whole scene is perfectly balanced, the composition works really well with the vivid green foreground. The yellow flowers in the foreground make me smell Summer, really great atmosphere you've captured. The reflection is reflected perfectly and nice clear water helps achieve such amazing detail in the landscape and even under the waters surface. A little blown out near the horizon above the mountains in the center, could try burning them out because where the blown out sky is reflecting in the water, it looks weird with it being not blown out like the sky. All in all, amazing capture
